重要通知：今天新聞發佈會取消
香港民意研究所（香港民研）原定於今日 (3月11日) 下午 舉行「我們香港人計劃」有關「俄烏戰爭」的調查發佈會暨第四十九次小型政策論壇，現在宣佈取消，理由如下：
- 香港民研自從前天(3月9日)開始，受到部份傳媒抹黑，其中包括以圖文並茂展示一份聲稱是香港民研草擬有關俄烏戰爭的問卷草稿。經過我們內部查證後，證實文件完全捏造。文件抬頭使用「香港民意研究所」以及一些專業用詞，查實並非出自香港民研。偽造文件所載的問卷題目，亦非香港民研草擬的問題。香港民研現正審議有關事件，再決定如何跟進。
- 由於事出突然，香港民研用了大量時間和精神去處理有關事件，當中包括法律團隊和其他人士。況且，在疫情極其險峻的時候，我們無法及時討論如何全面處理類似事件。
香港民研於是決定取消今天的新聞發布會，以爭取時間商討及處理有關問題。香港民研謹此致歉。

Important Announcement:
Press Conference Cancelled
The Hong Kong Public Opinion Research Institute (HKPORI) has scheduled a press conference this afternoon to release the “We Hongkongers Panel Survey” result cum our 49th mini-policy forum on the “Russo-Ukrainian War”. The event is now cancelled due to the following reasons:
- Since the day before yesterday (March 9), HKPORI has been defamed by some media, including a photographic presentation of a draft questionnaire allegedly compiled by HKPORI on the “Russo-Ukrainian War”. After HKPORI’s internal investigation, we found that the document was a complete fabrication. Although the document uses the header of “HKPORI” plus some professional terms under it, that document was never compiled by HKPORI, and the survey questions shown in that document are not ours. We are now considering all possible follow-up actions against this defamation.
- Due to this sudden interruption, HKPORI has spent a lot of time and effort to handle the incident, engaging our legal team and many other people. Moreover, due to the severeness of the pandemic, we do not have enough time to thoroughly discuss how to handle all such incidents in future.
HKPORI has therefore decided to cancel today’s press conference in order to gain more time to discuss and handle the issue. We sincerely apologize to everybody concerned.
